Performers often transfer their beliefs and values into their music videos or other promotional activities. They do this so that there fans can get a sense of what they really are and relate to them. Not all music genres allow artists to have values. Power pop fortunately is a genre which allows the artist to truly express themselves. They can express their feelings and emotions through their voice and their videos. Power pop videos are usually dramatic and the majority of the time the videos always have a meaning which links in to the song. Power pop stars are very different to other genres, because others may represent something else, e.g. punk usually represents rebellion and care free attitude and rave artists are only represent dancing and having fun. Power pop stars instead talk about specific issues, e.g. love,loss,war. This means that these stars have an opportunity to express of their beliefs and values.
